Today has been a COOL day! Harry Kelly and his lovely Mam turned up at the studio to redeem their ‘FREEBIE’ compo win!! I’ve just finished editing a bunch of great images that we had and they are on their way over (via dropbox lol) for his approval! Hope he likes them? I think i caught his best side? Don’t you??!!….
Last week saw the beautiful and tiny Freya (love that name) Marie Prewer entering the studio! We had a tiny little cry at first but once cwtched up in a lovely wool blanket the crys soon stopped! We had some great fun making the images and even twisted dads ARM to get involved with the photos! So thats what we used, his arm!!! It turned out to be one of the strongest images of the bunch too!! Zoe was a lovely relaxed mum that really enjoyed the session! I could tell :)!! The family went away with around 10 images and a memory that will hopefully last for a long time! I look forward to seeing Freya and family in the near future!! Thanks all!!! mw
If you follow my Facebook page, you would have seen my post last night to be expecting something cool today. It might not be that cool but to me it is! Yesterday I searched around and fond some great new fonts to apply to my photographs. I have been wanting to do this for a while but had not found the font I wanted. But now I have a number of great fonts to use! One in particular that I love! Here are a few that I’ve been messing around with.
I have put together a slideshow showcasing most of my lifestyle portrait work and uploaded it to Vimeo so people can get the idea of my photography style in a really nice video form.

What a fantastic couple of weeks it has been for me and my push for my dream of Matthew Watkins Photography to be a reality! After weeks, months, YEARS of photographing the people nearest to me, trying to get some practice in at every waking moment, I finally had a chance to dive into the deep end. That was at Norton Daycare where i had a makeshift festive photography studio. Here i photographed some wonderful families and had a great time, they are all in my last post on my blog. Fantastically from that shoot, i have had some extra follow on work! The first was from a really nice family with a gorgeous little girl called Amy. I was asked to photograph her christening at the Overton Grange Hotel in Ludlow. Happily, After sending off a small preview form my work, i had some great feedback and they were very happy with what they had received. Just trying out my new mac app that ive downloaded from the app store called Diptic. Its really easy to use and has some great templates. I recommend it highly!!

My fantastic daughter being beautiful as ever here on a impromptu fun photo shoot for some new team Watkins wall art! Found some FAB Apple orchards on the way to Weobly that make fantastic backgrounds for some family photos! If you would like to have some new family photographs then don’t hesitate to get in touch! If you have small children or babies then i have some fantastic ideas for some fun filled photographs on location or at home!
